Living In A Monastery

Since returning to the Church many years ago, I've felt strongly drawn to monastic, eremitic, and desert spiritualities. Because of my state in life, a religious order and the priesthood are not a good fit for me at this point. So what am I to do with this persistent draw to this way of living? Due to circumstances not in my control, I will no longer be living with my current housemate. While I wait for my new apartment home to become available, I have been permitted to spend the next six months living in the guest quarters of St. Anselms Abbey in Washington, DC—more details in the video below.
